Welcome to Lisbon. Upon arrival, you will be met at the airport by a Viking Representative who will accompany you to your hotel. Spend the remainder of the day relaxing or begin exploring the city a bit on your own. A Viking Host is available to help you plan your time in Lisbon so you can make the most of your visit.

This morning, take a walking tour of Lisbon and its most colorful district, characterized by its pink street and lively atmosphere. The remainder of your day is free to explore on your own. Perhaps explore the waterfront area or visit some of the lovely public parks, such as the Eduardo VII Park or the Jardim Botânico (Botanical Garden). This evening, enjoy dinner at your leisure. (B)

After breakfast, check out of your hotel and enjoy time to explore Lisbon on your own. This afternoon, transfer to your awaiting ship to begin your cruise. (B)

Fly into Lisbon, where you will be greeted at the airport by your Viking host and transfer to your hotel for check-in. After, you will have time at leisure to relax and enjoy the hotel’s amenities, or venture into the city to explore. This evening, dine on your own at one of Lisbon’s many local restaurants.

Following breakfast at your hotel, check out and travel to Arraiolos. Visit the Tapestry Museum to learn about the region’s distinctive, hand-embroidered wool rugs, produced by local craftsmen since the 13th century. Then, continue to Évora, a museum city with roots dating back to the Roman era, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1986. After lunch, set out to explore Évora’s historic center, before transferring to your hotel for check-in and dinner with your fellow guests. (B, L, D)

After breakfast, head to Honrado Vineyards. Their famous Talha wine is aged in clay amphorae vessels, giving it a distinctive flavor profile. Discover this unique process and take part in a guided wine tasting. Later, settle in for a five-course lunch of authentic local flavors while enjoying a Cante Alentejano performance; this polyphonic singing style is recognized by UNESCO as part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Then, return to your hotel to relax. (B, L)

This morning, check out of your hotel after breakfast and head to a local cork factory. This eco-friendly material is one of Portugal’s most abundant natural resources and is used in the production of wine stoppers, fashion accessories, furniture and more. Gain insight into the harvesting and production processes involved in the cork industry and discover its cultural significance. After, transfer to your awaiting ship to begin your cruise. (B)
