Day 1 - Oslo

Arrive in Oslo and transfer to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may choose to relax or begin your discovery of Oslo, renowned as the site of the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony. Take a walk through Vigeland Park, named for the sculptor whose stone and bronze works adorn this expansive green space. You might also stroll along the revitalized waterfront, lined with modern architecture. A Viking Host is available to help you plan your time in Oslo so you can make the most of your visit.

Day 2 - Oslo

After breakfast, join a guided tour of Oslo. You will see the Akershus Fortress, which has guarded the harbor for centuries; the Royal Palace, home to the beloved Norwegian royal family; the Parliament; and the National Theater. You will also visit the Norwegian Maritime Museum and learn about Norway’s seafaring history that spans over centuries. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. (B)

Day 3 - Bergen

On your final day, check out of your hotel and board the Bergen Railway for your journey to Bergen, often described as the most beautiful train ride in the world. You will ascend to over 4,000 feet above sea level as you cross the Hardangervidda plateau, featuring breathtaking views. Upon your arrival in Bergen, transfer to your awaiting ship to begin your cruise. (B, L)

Day 1 - Bergen

Fly to Bergen, where you will be met by a Viking Representative and escorted to your hotel. After check-in, you can spend the remainder of the day relaxing or getting acquainted with Bergen, the “Gateway to the Fjords.” A Viking Host is available to help you plan your time in Bergen so you can make the most of your visit.

Day 2 - Bergen

Explore the historic port city of Bergen at your leisure or you may choose to join an optional shore excursion. Ride the picturesque Bergen railway to Voss, set out to visit the famous Rosenkratz Tower or embark a boat for a scenic fjord cruise. Alternatively, perhaps try your hand at crab fishing with a local fisherman, explore the Hardanger Fjord and sample its regional cider, or enjoy an evening performance by the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra. Day 3 - Bergen

Check out of your hotel and enjoy time at your leisure, or head out on a fjord cruise to try your hand at crab fishing. After, you will transfer by motor coach to your awaiting ship. (B)

Day 1 - Reykjavík

Disembark your ship for the drive to your hotel. After check-in, enjoy the remainder of your day at leisure and explore Reykjavík on your own. Your Viking host is available to help you plan your time in Reykjavík so you can make the most of your visit. Alternatively, after disembarking, you may choose to join an optional shore excursion, arriving at your hotel later this afternoon. This evening, enjoy dinner at your hotel or head out to one of the city’s local restaurants.

Day 2 - Reykjavík

Today, continue getting acquainted with this picturesque city on your own or join an optional shore excursion. Perhaps visit one of the city’s renowned geothermal spas, or set out to enjoy the sights of Iceland’s Golden Circle. Alternatively, you may explore more of Reykjavík’s historic sites or set out to discover the unspoiled splendor of Iceland’s natural wonders. This evening, enjoy dinner at your leisure. (B)

After breakfast, check out of your hotel and proceed to the airport for your return flight. (B)

You may choose to dine in the hotel restaurant or one of the city’s many fine eateries, or take a short “jet-lag-busting” stroll to the Akershus Pier—considered one of the world’s first and most successful wharf conversions—for dinner on your own.

Step behind the walls of the medieval Bergen Fortress and visit the well-preserved 13th-century Håkons Hall. Pass the Bryggen wharf, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the more modern section of the city, view two beloved musical theaters: the National Stage and Grieg Hall, named for the famed Norwegian composer. After your tour, enjoy the evening at your leisure. (B)

Day 5 - Bergen
