Detailed Itinerary

Day-by-day description of your cruise and cruise activities.

Day 1

Leith (Edinburgh), United Kingdom

From the Firth of Forth, a UNESCO site, to the Royal Mile, Edinburgh is steeped in history. Edinburgh Castle. The Royal Botanic Gardens. The UNESCO site of Old Town. The wonders of Edinburgh are never ending. From one of Europe’s best-preserved castles to the world’s longest herbaceous border, a riot of color and culture pervades. In this city as old as Scotland itself, you’ll find the perfect blend of historic tradition and natural beauty

Day 2

Kirkwall, United Kingdom

Everything about Orkney is olde, from the 5,000-year-old village of Skara Brae (the “Scottish Pompeii”) to the peat-distilled whisky at Highland Park to the UNESCO site of the Ring of Brodgar, dating back to 2700 B.C. Even the local brogue hints at times past, accented by the area’s Viking legacy.

Day 3

Lerwick

The Shetland Islands may only have one town, and it’s small, but as you already know, good things come in small packages. There are seabird colonies and sea mammals galore, along with a windswept beauty that’s refreshing in its simplicity. History buffs can investigate 400-year-old castles or Iron Age ruins. Or meet the tiny ponies that share the islands’ name.

Day 4

Day 5

Skjolden

Located at the end of picturesque Lusterfjord with its emerald-green waters from melting glaciers, Skjolden is nestled between Norway&rsquo;s highest mountain range, Jotunheimen National Park and two glaciers. It is home to the wooden, 12th century Urnes Stave Church, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 6

MALOY, Norway

Maloy, Norway, is a charming coastal town known for its picturesque landscapes and maritime heritage. Situated on the island of Vågsøy, Maloy offers stunning views of rugged cliffs, sandy beaches, and serene fjords. Visitors can explore the historic Kannesteinen Rock, hike to the scenic Kråkenes Lighthouse, and enjoy fresh seafood in the local eateries. This quaint town provides a perfect blend of natural beauty and cultural experiences, making it a must-visit destination in Norway.

Day 7

Alesund

At the entrance to spectacular Geirangerfjord, Alesund has been voted the most beautiful town in Norway, and not only because of its location. The town burned to the ground in 1904 and was rebuilt in Art Nouveau style, with a few added elements from Nordic mythology &ndash; a longboat here, an image of Thor there.

Day 8

Molde

Known as the City of Roses, Molde is encircled by 222 mountains, each one worthy of oohs and ahhs. Breathtaking excursions await, including the world-famous Trollstigen scenic mountain road with its sheer cliffs, waterfalls, and hairpin turns. Or take the low road&mdash;the Atlantic Road&mdash;twisting its way across the islands of the North Sea like an asphalt roller coaster.

Day 9

Day 10

Torshavn

Dock within walking distance of Old Town and marvel at a place where people mow their roofs and 17th century buildings are considered young. Listen to echoes of Old Norse in the language of shopkeepers and passersby as you shop for warm knit sweaters made from the islands&rsquo; distinctive wool.

Day 11

Day 12

Reykjavik

<div>
The world&#39;s most northerly capital enjoys almost 24-hour sunlight in summer, all the better to show off the city&rsquo;s eclectic architecture and dazzling natural wonders. Soak in the milky Blue Lagoon, visit Guilfoss Waterfall, find Pingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site , or explore the surprisingly vibrant local museum and art scene.</div>

About this ship

Star Pride

Star Pride is an elegant, all-suite yacht that delivers Windstar Cruises’ signature small-ship experience with sophistication and style. Designed for just 312 guests, the ship offers a refined alternative to larger cruise vessels—combining personalized service, expansive accommodations, and a relaxed onboard ambiance with the ability to explore some of the world’s most captivating and hard-to-reach destinations.

As part of Windstar’s $250 million Star Plus Initiative, Star Pride underwent a transformative renovation in 2021. The ship was lengthened by 84 feet, resulting in expanded public areas, new culinary venues, and additional suites. Upgrades also included new eco-friendly engines and enhanced environmental systems, positioning the vessel at the forefront of sustainable luxury travel. Though refreshed and modernized, Star Pride retains the intimate, yachting spirit that defines the Windstar experience.

All 156 suites on board are ocean-facing, offering spacious layouts ranging from 277 to over 800 square feet. Designed with a blend of contemporary elegance and classic comfort, each suite features plush bedding, walk-in closets, marble-accented bathrooms with dual vanities, and thoughtful amenities such as Illy espresso machines and L’Occitane bath products. Many suites include private verandas or French balconies, creating a seamless connection to the sea and surrounding landscapes.

Dining on Star Pride is elevated, globally inspired, and entirely complimentary. Amphora, the ship’s main dining room, offers ever-changing menus rooted in fresh, seasonal ingredients. Candles transforms the deck into a romantic open-air steakhouse by night, while Cuadro 44 by chef Anthony Sasso offers bold, modern Spanish cuisine in an intimate, tapas-style setting. Star Grill by Steven Raichlen serves barbecue with international flair in a casual al fresco setting, and the Yacht Club Café is a favorite for fresh pastries, coffee, and light bites throughout the day. In-suite dining is available 24 hours a day for added flexibility.

The ship’s amenities cater to both active travelers and those seeking rest and rejuvenation. A full-service spa and wellness complex offers a variety of treatments, a thermal suite, and a well-equipped fitness center. Open decks and lounges provide ample space for relaxation, while the watersports platform at the stern gives guests direct access to complimentary activities such as kayaking, paddleboarding, and snorkeling when conditions allow.

Thanks to its size and shallow draft, Star Pride is able to navigate narrow waterways and dock in smaller ports that are inaccessible to larger ships. Whether cruising the Norwegian fjords, the coastal towns of the Mediterranean, or the islands of Southeast Asia, the ship brings guests closer to the cultural and natural heart of each destination.
