Experience Chile’s breathtaking capital city of Santiago, set against an impressive backdrop of snowcapped Andean peaks, and discover its lively Central Market and colorful Bellavista neighborhood.

Day 1 - Santiago

Disembark your ship in Valparaíso and a Viking Representative will escort you to Santiago, where you will enjoy a two-night stay at your hotel. After check-in, you can spend time relaxing or exploring the city at your leisure. A Viking Host is available to help you plan your time in Santiago so you can make the most of your visit.

Day 2 - Santiago

After breakfast, begin your exploration of Santiago, the capital of Chile. Take in the many sights of this vibrant city, such as the Palacio de la Moneda—the presidential palace—and the beautiful cathedral in the Plaza de Armas. Or visit the National Museum of Fine Arts, then explore nearby Santiago Metropolitan Park and climb to the summit of San Cristóbal Hill for panoramic views of the city below. In the evening, perhaps try some empanadas, a traditional Chilean favorite. (B)

After breakfast, check out of your hotel and transfer to the airport for your flight home. (B)

Day 1 - Ft. Lauderdale, Florida

Upon arrival, meet your Viking Representative and transfer to your hotel. After check-in, the remainder of the day is at your leisure. Relax and enjoy the amenities at your hotel or stretch your legs and explore the sights and landmarks of Ft. Lauderdale, known as the “Venice of America.” A Viking Host is available to help you plan your time so you can make the most of your visit.

Day 2 - Ft. Lauderdale, Florida

Today, skim across the waters of the Everglades in search of local wildlife during an invigorating airboat ride. Your vessel’s flat-bottomed hull makes navigating the shallow waters easy, while its powerful engine and propeller can reach speeds of up to 40 mph. As you cruise, learn about this delicate ecosystem and keep watch for resident wildlife, such as manatees, American crocodiles and sea turtles. Afterward, return to shore, where the remainder of the day and evening is at your leisure. (B)

Day 3 - Ft. Lauderdale, Florida

After breakfast, check out of your hotel and transfer to your awaiting ship to begin your cruise. (B)

Day 1 - Lima

Disembark your ship in Valparaíso and transfer to the airport for your flight to Lima, where a Viking Representative will greet you and accompany you to your hotel. After checking in, spend the rest of the day at your leisure. Your Viking Tour Director is available to help you plan your time in Lima so you can make the most of your visit. Enjoy a delicious Peruvian dinner at your hotel this evening. (D)

Day 2 - Cuzco

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Cuzco. Upon arrival, embark on a guided tour of the first capital of the Inca Empire. See the Sacsayhuamán fortress and admire the ancient construction techniques. Visit Koricancha—the Temple of the Sun—one of the Inca Empire’s most sacred sites, and view the Dominican Convent of Santo Domingo that was built on its foundations. Admire Cuzco Cathedral, one of the Americas’ finest Spanish colonial churches, then head to your hotel. (B, L, D)

Day 3 - Sacred Valley of the Incas

After breakfast, set out into the scenic Sacred Valley to Ccorcorr, the “Village of Flowers.” Enjoy a warm welcome from your hosts, then immerse yourself in daily life. Learn about local traditions as you tour this charming Peruvian village and observe demonstrations of textile making and centuries-old farming techniques. Stop for lunch at a local restaurant, then return to your hotel for dinner. (B, L, D)

Day 4 - Machu Picchu

Travel to Ollantaytambo and visit its Incan fortress before embarking on a railway journey to Machu Picchu, a UNESCO Site. Take in the spectacular scenery as your carriage journeys through a winding valley, passing snowcapped peaks and archaeological ruins. At Machu Picchu, discover the ancient temples, houses and sanctuaries of the Inca Empire. After tea and time to explore the terraced fields, you will return to Ollantaytambo by train, and onward to your hotel. (B, L, D)

Day 5 - Lima

After breakfast, head to the airport for your flight to Lima. Transfer to your hotel and check in, then enjoy the rest of the day to explore the Peruvian capital at leisure. Perhaps take a stroll past the city’s colonial architecture and through stately museums, and immerse yourself in Lima’s old-world charm. Your Viking Tour Director is available to help you plan your time in Lima so you can make the most of your visit. (B)

Day 6 - Lima

After breakfast, check out of your hotel and transfer to the airport for your return flight home. (B)
