Day 1 - Bangkok

Fly to Bangkok and transfer to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may choose to relax or begin exploring the city on your own. A Viking Host is available to help you plan your time in Bangkok so you can make the most of your visit.

Day 2 - Bangkok

Spend the morning at your leisure. This afternoon, take a guided tour of the Grand Palace, once the royal residence of the Chakri Kings and an excellent example of an ancient Siamese court. Built in 1782, it was the center of power for more than 150 years. Continue on to Wat Pho, one of Thailand’s most well-known temples. Here, you will see a 150-foot-tall reclining Buddha statue, the largest in Bangkok. Finally, stop at a flower market and browse its large selection of orchids. (B)

Day 3 - Bangkok

Your day is free to explore more of Bangkok, or you may wish to do some shopping—Bangkok offers everything from colorful open air markets to sophisticated shopping malls. Consider visiting Chinatown for some of the city’s best-tasting fare or a farmers’ market to sample local food. See one of the city’s many museums or embark on a traditional longtail boat ride. Alternatively, you may choose to join a full-day optional tour to Ayutthaya, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. (B)

Day 1 - Bangkok, Thailand

Arrive in Bangkok and transfer to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may choose to relax or begin exploring the area on your own. A Viking Host is available to help you plan your time in Bangkok so you can make the most of your visit.

Day 2 - Bangkok, Thailand & Siem Reap, Cambodia

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Siem Reap and meet your Viking Tour Director. After lunch, check in to your hotel before heading to Artisans Angkor, a cultural workshop dedicated to the preservation of traditional Cambodian craftsmanship. Gain insight into the significance of these handicrafts as local artisans showcase the intricate processes involved in their creation, including wood carving, stone sculpting, silk painting and more. Later, enjoy dinner at a local eatery. (B, L, D)

Day 3 - Siem Reap, Cambodia

This morning, head to Angkor, one of the world’s most important archaeological sites. Watch the sun rise at the UNESCO-listed Angkor Wat and enjoy a guided tour of this ancient temple complex. After breakfast at your hotel, continue to Preah Dak Village to learn about the preparation of traditional Khmer rice noodles, Nom Banh Chok. At Banteay Srey Temple, explore ruins adorned with intricate carvings, then visit Ankgor National Museum. Later this evening, dine at a local restaurant. (B, L, D)

Day 4 - Siem Reap, Cambodia

Today, begin at the fortified city of Angkor Thom, where you will stroll through its famed terraces and see the mysterious Bayon Temple. Visit Ta Prohm, where nature and architecture intertwine—the roots of silk-cotton trees cascade over its doorways and through its walls. After lunch, join local dancers to learn how to perform the traditional Apsara dance, once performed in royal courts and temples. Later, enjoy dinner followed by a performance blending dance, acrobatics and juggling. (B, L, D)

Day 5 - Siem Reap, Cambodia & Bangkok, Thailand

After a morning at leisure, check out of your hotel and transfer to the airport for your flight to Bangkok, where you will begin your cruise. (B, L)

Day 1 - Hong Kong

Disembark your ship at the pier, then set out on a walking tour highlighting the city’s dynamic past, from the historic Sheung Wan to the modern business district. Visit Possession Point, where the British claimed Hong Kong in 1841, and trace the footsteps of the founding father of modern China on the Dr. Sun Yat-sen Historical Trail. Afterward, transfer to your hotel where you will enjoy a two-night stay. You will have the rest of the day to enjoy at your leisure and explore the city on your own.

Day 2 - Hong Kong

Today, you will enjoy a full day to immerse yourself in the rich culture of Hong Kong. Perhaps visit one of the city’s renowned museums and savor a delicious lunch of traditional Cantonese dim sum. Or visit the revered Wong Tai Sin Temple, a colorful Taoist temple located in the heart of the city. After a leisurely dinner, take a stroll around the picturesque Victoria Harbour. After breakfast, check out of your hotel and proceed to the airport for your return flight. (B)
