Loyalty Program Terms and Conditions

Small Ship Travel's Loyalty Program is a cruise line-agnostic rewards program that sits atop every small-ship itinerary you book with us. Enrollment is simple and once you're in, you earn rewards on all eligible Small Ship Travel bookings—regardless of which cruise line you sail.

Effective Date: January 1, 2025
Last Updated: January 1, 2025

Program Overview

The program is designed to add value in addition to each line's own loyalty offerings, so benefits are usable across all ships, itineraries, and ports, and are coordinated to complement rather than replace the cruise line perks you already enjoy.

With this program, you'll unlock a consistent suite of perks across every voyage, including onboard credits, priority services, exclusive events, dining and experience extras, WiFi or connectivity perks, and concierge-style assistance. Benefits are additive where allowed by individual cruise line policies, and redemption is flexible to fit your travel plans.

It's free to join, easy to manage via your account, and designed to make every small-ship adventure feel even more rewarding—no matter which line you travel with.

  • Participation in the Program does not imply any guarantee of benefits for any specific voyage, itinerary, or ship.

Earning Points and Credits

The program features two types of rewards: Points (for tracking activity and tier qualification) and Credits (for discounting future bookings).

Points

  • Points are earned on eligible bookings that are linked to your Account and paid in full.
  • Points earning rates by tier: Bronze members earn 1 point per dollar spent, Silver earns 1.5 points per dollar spent, Gold earns 2 points per dollar spent, and Emerald earns 3 points per dollar spent.
  • Points are used to track your activity and qualify for tier advancement.

Booking Credits

  • Booking credits are earned on eligible bookings and can be used to discount future trips with Small Ship Travel.
  • Credit earning rates vary by tier: Bronze members earn 2% credit per booking, Silver earns 3%, Gold earns 4%, and Emerald earns 5%.
  • Referral credits vary by tier: Bronze members receive $100 per referral, Silver receives $150, Gold receives $200, and Emerald receives $250.
  • Group booking credits (9+ travelers) vary by tier: Bronze receives $200, Silver receives $250, Gold receives $300, and Emerald receives $350.
  • Points and credits are earned only on bookings placed through Small Ship Travel and linked to your Account. Some items (such as taxes, fees, third-party services, or other excluded components) may not accrue Points or credits.
  • Group bookings and charter voyages earn both Points and credits. See the program details for specifics.

Tier Status

The program includes four tier levels: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Emerald (in ascending order of value and benefits).

Tier Requirements

  • Bronze: On sign up
  • Silver: 5 lifetime cruises or 2 annual cruises (7-night minimum) or earn 10,000 points
  • Gold: 10 lifetime cruises or 3 annual cruises (7-night minimum) or earn 100,000 points
  • Emerald: 30 lifetime cruises or 5 annual cruises (7-night minimum) or earn 200,000 points
  • Tier status is lifetime and does not expire or downgrade based on inactivity.
  • Benefits at each tier apply to eligible bookings linked to your Account and are subject to availability and third-party terms.
  • Tier status may be suspended or revoked for violations of these Terms or Cruise Line Policies.

Redemption of Credits and Benefits

  • Booking credits (earned via bookings, referrals, or group bookings) can be used to discount future trips with Small Ship Travel.
  • Credits are subject to availability, blackout dates, and booking rules.
  • Some Benefits may have quantity limits, per-booking limits, or minimum requirements.
  • Credits are not redeemable for cash, are non-transferable except as specifically allowed in the Transfers section, and have no monetary value outside the Program.
  • Benefits may be subject to the cruise line's policies, inventory constraints, and voyage-specific rules. The inclusion of a Benefit does not guarantee availability on any given voyage.

Stacking with Cruise Line Benefits

  • In most cases, Benefits may be stacked with the cruise line's own loyalty benefits, where permitted by the cruise line's policies. Stacking is subject to cruise line approval and availability.
  • If a cruise line prohibits stacking for a particular voyage or promotion, the cruise line policy will prevail. Our team will assist to maximize value within the applicable rules.

Restrictions, Blackouts, and Limitations

  • Benefits are not guaranteed and may be limited by capacity, vessel, itinerary, or promotion constraints.
  • Some Benefits may be subject to blackout periods, age restrictions, or other limitations as defined in the Rewards Catalog or by third-party providers.
  • Redemptions must comply with all applicable terms of the Cruise Line Policies. If a Benefit conflicts with a Cruise Line Policy, the Cruise Line Policy governs.
  • The Program reserves the right to suspend or modify Benefits, earning rules, or redemption options at any time, with notice to Members for material changes.

Booking Eligibility and Account Management

  • To earn Points and Credits, you must book through Small Ship Travel and link the Booking to your Account.
  • You must ensure your Member Profile and booking details are accurate and linked to the correct traveler(s).
  • Points and Credits typically post to your Account after the voyage completes or once the booking is finalized, depending on the booking type and terms. Delays may occur for certain bookings.
  • You may view and manage your Account online, including linking bookings, viewing Points and Credits balance, and reviewing available benefits.

Expiration, Suspension, and Termination of Credits

  • Credits may expire after a defined period of inactivity or at other times as stated in these Terms.
  • The Program may suspend or terminate credits for fraud, misuse, or violation of these Terms or Cruise Line Policies.
  • Upon termination of Membership (whether voluntary or involuntary), remaining credits may be forfeited in accordance with the Terms and applicable law, except where prohibited.
  • Tier status is lifetime and does not expire due to inactivity, though it may be revoked for violations of these Terms.

Transfers, Gifts, and Family Use

  • Transfers of credits to another Member may be allowed under policy, such as gifts or family transfers, subject to Terms and any transfer limits.
  • Some Benefits may be redeemed only by the account holder or by linked travelers, as defined in the program.
