Our Viking river cruise aboard the Embla far exceeded expectations, from the well-organized planning process to the warm welcome onboard and smooth disembarkation. Despite major flight cancellations and delays, Viking’s support in rearranging travel was impressive and reassuring throughout. Onboard, the meals were excellent with thoughtful local touches, the staff was consistently friendly, and the cruise director Merak made the experience both informative and fun. While some guides were a bit difficult to understand, the overall sightseeing and service made this first river cruise a memorable success
