Silver Endeavour is Silversea’s flagship for polar exploration and represents the pinnacle of ultra-luxury expedition cruising. Originally built as Crystal Endeavor, this state-of-the-art vessel was acquired and reimagined by Silversea to offer unparalleled comfort and capability in the world’s most remote regions. With a Polar Class PC6 rating and capacity for just 200 guests, Silver Endeavour combines technical prowess with Silversea’s signature all-suite accommodations, personalized service, and immersive enrichment programs.

Designed for icy waters and extreme environments, Silver Endeavour is equipped with the latest advancements in navigational and sustainability technologies, including dynamic positioning, advanced stabilizers, and environmentally friendly systems. Her reinforced hull enables safe passage through ice-packed waters in the Arctic and Antarctica, allowing guests to venture deeper into polar territories than ever before.

Accommodations aboard Silver Endeavour are some of the most spacious in expedition cruising. All suites feature private verandas, floor-to-ceiling windows, luxurious bathrooms with heated floors, walk-in closets, sitting areas, and butler service. Categories range from the elegant Veranda Suite to the sweeping Owner’s Suite, offering refined décor and residential comfort in every detail. The thoughtful layout maximizes both privacy and panoramic views.

The ship's public spaces are designed to connect guests with their surroundings while offering superior comfort. The Observation Lounge offers 270-degree views ideal for spotting wildlife or taking in the polar landscape. The Explorer Lounge serves as the hub for daily expedition briefings, lectures, and guest expert talks. A library, boutique, fitness center, and spa round out the amenities, with wellness services tailored for the adventurous traveler.

Expedition experiences are at the heart of Silver Endeavour’s offering. The ship carries a fleet of Zodiacs for nimble landings, as well as kayaks and a dedicated mudroom to facilitate safe and efficient disembarkation. A highly credentialed Expedition Team—including naturalists, marine biologists, historians, and geologists—guides daily excursions and offers enriching commentary that deepens each journey.

Dining aboard Silver Endeavour is sophisticated and varied. The Restaurant delivers elegant international cuisine with open seating. Il Terrazzino showcases Silversea’s signature Italian flair, while The Grill offers relaxed all-day dining. The Observation Lounge doubles as a café with light bites and refreshments, and 24-hour in-suite dining allows guests to savor meals in private luxury.

Silver Endeavour’s itineraries include the polar regions and other remote destinations, such as Greenland, the Canadian Arctic, South Georgia, and the Antarctic Peninsula. Each voyage is carefully designed to provide maximum wildlife encounters, dramatic scenery, and cultural immersion in some of Earth’s last untouched frontiers.

By blending the capabilities of an advanced expedition vessel with the indulgence of a boutique hotel, Silver Endeavour is redefining what it means to explore the ends of the Earth. For travelers who demand both adventure and refinement, she offers the ultimate platform to witness the raw beauty of our planet in absolute comfort.

Good to know

Before you sail

Is there Wi-Fi on Silver Endeavour?

Standard Wi-Fi is free and unlimited in every suite, one device at a time, and handles browsing, messaging, and email. Premium Wi-Fi, which supports streaming and video calls, costs extra but is complimentary in the upper suite categories and for full World Cruise guests.

What is the dress code on Silver Endeavour?

Days are relaxed, comparable to five-star resort wear. From 6:00 p.m. evenings are Elegant Casual, with Formal Optional nights that scale with voyage length: none on sailings of 7 days or fewer, one or two on 8 to 14 days, two or more on longer voyages. Jackets are always optional and formal wear is never required. Expedition ships stay Elegant Casual throughout.

Gratuities

Shipboard gratuities are included in the fare, with spa services the one exception, so there is no working out who to tip on board. Tips for shore-excursion guides are not included; a common guideline is about $2.50 per guest on a half-day tour and $5 on a full day.

Drinks & the all-inclusive fare

Select wines, champagnes, spirits, beer, and soft drinks are included in bars, restaurants, and your suite, and the butler keeps the minibar stocked to your preferences. A short list of premium labels, cigarettes, and cigars costs extra. Silver Origin does not carry champagne or caviar.

Butler service

Every suite in every category comes with butler service, backed by a crew-to-guest ratio close to one to one. Butlers unpack your bags, serve in-suite breakfast, restock the minibar daily, and arrange laundry. In-suite dining runs around the clock.

Are special dietary requirements catered for?

Special diets are accommodated on request. Tell us when you book so the details reach Silversea at least 75 days before sailing. Guests with allergies can also arrange hypoallergenic detergent for their bedding in advance.

Is Silver Endeavour accessible for guests with reduced mobility?

Most ships carry dedicated wheelchair-accessible suites, though Silver Origin has none, and public areas include accessible restrooms and Braille signage in the elevators. Mobility needs must be flagged before sailing, and guests who use a wheelchair throughout the cruise bring their own collapsible chair. We handle the arrangements with Silversea when you book.

What is the smoking policy on board?

Suites, balconies, and most public areas are nonsmoking. Smoking, including e-cigarettes and cigars, is permitted in the Connoisseur's Corner, plus a few designated outdoor spots that vary by ship.

Is there a laundry service on board?

A self-service launderette with machines, irons, and supplies is free on every ship except Silver Origin. Valet laundry and pressing are available for a fee through your butler, and come complimentary in the higher suite categories.

Children

Silversea is an adult-oriented line: there are no children's programs, childcare, or babysitting on board. Infants under 6 months cannot sail, and the expedition ships, including Silver Endeavour, Silver Cloud, Silver Origin, and Silver Wind, do not take children under 5.

Founded in 1994, it has built a reputation for attentive hospitality and a reach that extends to more than 900 destinations across all seven continents. Its fleet of ocean and expedition ships lets guests move between landmark ports and genuinely remote regions in comfort, on the same brand standard throughout.

A Fleet Designed for Intimacy and Elegance

Silversea's fleet is built around boutique, all-suite ships, each designed for space, privacy, and a polished onboard feel. Whether you sail a classic ocean ship or join an expedition voyage, you can expect:

  • All-suite accommodations, most with private verandas and ocean views.
  • Personalized butler service for every suite.
  • A choice of restaurants on board, with menus from accomplished chefs.
  • Enrichment programs, cultural lectures, and curated shore excursions.
  • Comfortable public spaces, lounges, and spa facilities for relaxing and socializing.

Every Silversea ship is intimate in scale, which supports a personal style of service and lets the fleet call at smaller ports that larger lines often pass by.

Wide-Ranging Destinations and Curated Itineraries

Silversea holds one of the broadest destination portfolios in luxury cruising, calling at more than 900 locations worldwide. Picture the ice of Antarctica, the warmth of the Mediterranean, or the quiet coves of the South Pacific. The line builds each route to deliver depth rather than just mileage.

  • Classic ocean voyages through Europe, the Caribbean, Asia, and the Americas, taking in major cities, historic landmarks, and long stretches of coast.
  • Expedition cruises to Antarctica, the Arctic, the Galapagos, and the Amazon, guided by naturalists and marine biologists.
  • Curated shore excursions, from wine tastings and cultural performances to wildlife encounters and guided historical tours.

Each itinerary is shaped to blend culture, exploration, and rest, so guests get the most out of every destination with expert-led excursions and luxury accommodations.

A Commitment to Service and Sustainability

Silversea pairs its service standards with a commitment to responsible travel. The line invests in environmentally minded practices, supports the communities it visits, and backs conservation work. Guests can explore widely while helping protect the places that make these voyages worth taking.
