Silver Nova marks a revolutionary chapter in ultra-luxury cruising, introducing a new design ethos for Silversea when it launches in 2023. With a passenger capacity of 728 guests and a crew-to-guest ratio of nearly 1:1, Silver Nova is built to deliver both environmental innovation and elevated guest experiences. As the first vessel in Silversea’s Nova-class, the ship features a forward-thinking asymmetrical design and is the most environmentally conscious ship in the fleet.
Silver Nova is equipped with hybrid propulsion technology, combining fuel cells, batteries, and dual-fuel engines that can run on liquefied natural gas (LNG). This allows the ship to operate with zero emissions while in port—an unprecedented milestone in the world of luxury cruising. The vessel’s architecture promotes open space, light, and connection to the sea with expansive glass windows and panoramic lounges that redefine the onboard atmosphere.
Dining reaches new levels of variety and sophistication on Silver Nova. Guests can choose from Silversea’s signature venues, including Atlantide, La Dame, La Terrazza, Kaiseki, and Silver Note, as well as new concepts like The Marquee—an outdoor dining venue housing The Grill and Spaccanapoli—and the enlarged SALT Kitchen, SALT Bar, and SALT Lab. These culinary spaces are central to Silversea’s mission of regional immersion through food.
Suites aboard Silver Nova are exceptionally spacious, starting at 357 square feet, all with private verandas and the brand’s renowned butler service. New suite categories include the expansive Otium Suite, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows, custom Otium wellness amenities, and the largest veranda in the fleet. Thoughtfully designed interiors offer generous living areas, walk-in wardrobes, lavish bathrooms with dual vanities, and a curated minibar.
The public areas aboard Silver Nova are designed to foster a sense of openness and fluidity. The ship features a reimagined pool deck with an infinity edge overlooking the ocean, a two-story atrium-style Observation Lounge, and a luxurious Roman-inspired Otium Spa. Cultural enrichment is offered in the Venetian Lounge, while the S.A.L.T. program provides hands-on regional learning through food and storytelling.
Silver Nova’s itineraries will span the globe, from the Mediterranean to the Americas, allowing guests to experience iconic ports and hidden gems with immersive shore excursions and local encounters. Excursions are led by expert guides and curated through Silversea’s Destination Experience team.
More than just a cruise ship, Silver Nova is a bold step forward in sustainability and guest-centric design. It represents a harmony of cutting-edge technology, spatial elegance, and destination-focused luxury—an ideal choice for travelers who want to experience the world without compromise. With Silver Nova, Silversea ushers in a new era where environmental responsibility and indulgent exploration coexist seamlessly.
Dining
The 728-guest Silver Nova opens one of the line's largest dining collections, all included and open-seating. Kitchen and its Chef's Table, Silver Note, The Marquee, The Grill, and Arts Cafe fill out the rest.

Good to know
Standard Wi-Fi is free and unlimited in every suite, one device at a time, and handles browsing, messaging, and email. Premium Wi-Fi, which supports streaming and video calls, costs extra but is complimentary in the upper suite categories and for full World Cruise guests.
Days are relaxed, comparable to five-star resort wear. From 6:00 p.m. evenings are Elegant Casual, with Formal Optional nights that scale with voyage length: none on sailings of 7 days or fewer, one or two on 8 to 14 days, two or more on longer voyages. Jackets are always optional and formal wear is never required. Expedition ships stay Elegant Casual throughout.
Shipboard gratuities are included in the fare, with spa services the one exception, so there is no working out who to tip on board. Tips for shore-excursion guides are not included; a common guideline is about $2.50 per guest on a half-day tour and $5 on a full day.
Select wines, champagnes, spirits, beer, and soft drinks are included in bars, restaurants, and your suite, and the butler keeps the minibar stocked to your preferences. A short list of premium labels, cigarettes, and cigars costs extra. Silver Origin does not carry champagne or caviar.
Every suite in every category comes with butler service, backed by a crew-to-guest ratio close to one to one. Butlers unpack your bags, serve in-suite breakfast, restock the minibar daily, and arrange laundry. In-suite dining runs around the clock.
Special diets are accommodated on request. Tell us when you book so the details reach Silversea at least 75 days before sailing. Guests with allergies can also arrange hypoallergenic detergent for their bedding in advance.
Most ships carry dedicated wheelchair-accessible suites, though Silver Origin has none, and public areas include accessible restrooms and Braille signage in the elevators. Mobility needs must be flagged before sailing, and guests who use a wheelchair throughout the cruise bring their own collapsible chair. We handle the arrangements with Silversea when you book.
Suites, balconies, and most public areas are nonsmoking. Smoking, including e-cigarettes and cigars, is permitted in the Connoisseur's Corner, plus a few designated outdoor spots that vary by ship.
A self-service launderette with machines, irons, and supplies is free on every ship except Silver Origin. Valet laundry and pressing are available for a fee through your butler, and come complimentary in the higher suite categories.
Silversea is an adult-oriented line: there are no children's programs, childcare, or babysitting on board. Infants under 6 months cannot sail, and the expedition ships, including Silver Endeavour, Silver Cloud, Silver Origin, and Silver Wind, do not take children under 5.
