Silver Whisper is a classic of the Silversea fleet, known for its understated luxury, refined service, and timeless elegance. Accommodating just 392 guests and staffed by 302 crew members, the ship offers a near 1:1 guest-to-crew ratio that ensures attentive, personalized service. With her sophisticated ambiance and generous public spaces, Silver Whisper is the ideal vessel for guests seeking intimacy without sacrificing comfort or amenities.
The all-suite accommodations aboard Silver Whisper are spacious and thoughtfully appointed. Ranging from the elegant Veranda Suite to the opulent Owner’s, Grand, and Royal Suites, each suite offers ocean views, a marble bathroom with a full-size tub and walk-in shower, walk-in wardrobes, plush seating areas, and personalized butler service. Most suites feature private verandas, allowing guests to soak in the seascape from the privacy of their own retreat.
Silver Whisper’s culinary offerings are exceptional. The main dining venue, The Restaurant, features international cuisine in a classic open-seating format, while La Terrazza serves regionally inspired Italian cuisine with fresh ingredients sourced from Italy. La Dame offers a fine dining French experience in an intimate, reservations-only setting. The Pool Grill provides casual, outdoor meals including Silversea’s signature lava stone cooking. Afternoon tea, 24-hour in-suite dining, and curated wine selections enhance the all-inclusive dining experience.
Public areas are refined yet welcoming. The Panorama Lounge offers sweeping ocean views and live music, while the Observation Lounge at the ship’s forward offers quiet reading and reflection. Guests can enjoy entertainment, lectures, and cultural presentations in the Show Lounge. The Connoisseur’s Corner provides a distinguished setting for cigars and premium spirits. For wellness and leisure, guests can visit the Zagara Spa, a state-of-the-art fitness center, a beauty salon, a pool deck with Jacuzzi, and upscale onboard boutiques.
Silver Whisper is often chosen for Silversea’s World Cruise and Grand Voyage itineraries, due to her ability to access smaller ports and offer extensive global itineraries. From the Mediterranean to Asia, the Caribbean to Africa, each journey aboard Silver Whisper is enhanced by carefully curated shore excursions, cultural immersions, and behind-the-scenes experiences developed by Silversea’s destination experts.
With her refined atmosphere, world-class service, and immersive itineraries, Silver Whisper is an enduring favorite among seasoned travelers. The ship blends classic elegance with Silversea’s trademark attention to detail, creating a cruise experience that is luxurious, enriching, and unforgettable.

Good to know
Standard Wi-Fi is free and unlimited in every suite, one device at a time, and handles browsing, messaging, and email. Premium Wi-Fi, which supports streaming and video calls, costs extra but is complimentary in the upper suite categories and for full World Cruise guests.
Days are relaxed, comparable to five-star resort wear. From 6:00 p.m. evenings are Elegant Casual, with Formal Optional nights that scale with voyage length: none on sailings of 7 days or fewer, one or two on 8 to 14 days, two or more on longer voyages. Jackets are always optional and formal wear is never required. Expedition ships stay Elegant Casual throughout.
Shipboard gratuities are included in the fare, with spa services the one exception, so there is no working out who to tip on board. Tips for shore-excursion guides are not included; a common guideline is about $2.50 per guest on a half-day tour and $5 on a full day.
Select wines, champagnes, spirits, beer, and soft drinks are included in bars, restaurants, and your suite, and the butler keeps the minibar stocked to your preferences. A short list of premium labels, cigarettes, and cigars costs extra. Silver Origin does not carry champagne or caviar.
Every suite in every category comes with butler service, backed by a crew-to-guest ratio close to one to one. Butlers unpack your bags, serve in-suite breakfast, restock the minibar daily, and arrange laundry. In-suite dining runs around the clock.
Special diets are accommodated on request. Tell us when you book so the details reach Silversea at least 75 days before sailing. Guests with allergies can also arrange hypoallergenic detergent for their bedding in advance.
Most ships carry dedicated wheelchair-accessible suites, though Silver Origin has none, and public areas include accessible restrooms and Braille signage in the elevators. Mobility needs must be flagged before sailing, and guests who use a wheelchair throughout the cruise bring their own collapsible chair. We handle the arrangements with Silversea when you book.
Suites, balconies, and most public areas are nonsmoking. Smoking, including e-cigarettes and cigars, is permitted in the Connoisseur's Corner, plus a few designated outdoor spots that vary by ship.
A self-service launderette with machines, irons, and supplies is free on every ship except Silver Origin. Valet laundry and pressing are available for a fee through your butler, and come complimentary in the higher suite categories.
Silversea is an adult-oriented line: there are no children's programs, childcare, or babysitting on board. Infants under 6 months cannot sail, and the expedition ships, including Silver Endeavour, Silver Cloud, Silver Origin, and Silver Wind, do not take children under 5.

Silversea is a leader in luxury small-ship travel, with intimate, refined voyages that pair personal service with real exploration. Founded in 1994, it has built a reputation for attentive hospitality and a reach that extends to more than 900 destinations across all seven continents. Its fleet of ocean and expedition ships lets guests move between landmark ports and genuinely remote regions in comfort, on the same brand standard throughout.
Silversea's fleet is built around boutique, all-suite ships, each designed for space, privacy, and a polished onboard feel. Whether you sail a classic ocean ship or join an expedition voyage, you can expect:
Every Silversea ship is intimate in scale, which supports a personal style of service and lets the fleet call at smaller ports that larger lines often pass by.
Silversea holds one of the broadest destination portfolios in luxury cruising, calling at more than 900 locations worldwide. Picture the ice of Antarctica, the warmth of the Mediterranean, or the quiet coves of the South Pacific. The line builds each route to deliver depth rather than just mileage.
Each itinerary is shaped to blend culture, exploration, and rest, so guests get the most out of every destination with expert-led excursions and luxury accommodations.
Silversea pairs its service standards with a commitment to responsible travel. The line invests in environmentally minded practices, supports the communities it visits, and backs conservation work. Guests can explore widely while helping protect the places that make these voyages worth taking.
At Small Ship Travel we keep our recommendations tight, choosing the small-ship lines we know well and would sail ourselves. Silversea holds its place in that selection on the strength of its service, its dining, and the depth of its itineraries.
Working with Silversea, we arrange tailored itineraries and handle the planning around them, so the trip comes together cleanly. Whether you want a luxury escape to the Mediterranean or an expedition to the Arctic, we build the voyage around how you actually want to travel.
Booking through Small Ship Travel brings advisor guidance, personal service, and added value on your Silversea voyage. From pre- and post-cruise stays to private shore excursions and the travel logistics in between, we look after the detail so you can relax into the sailing.
