Day 1 - Stockholm

Enjoy a stay in Sweden’s capital city, Stockholm. Disembark your ship and transfer to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free for you to relax or begin exploring the city on your own. You may also choose to join one of the optional excursions on offer, including a guided visit to Old Uppsala and an exploration of a historic food market. Day 2 - Stockholm

After breakfast at your hotel, you will have a full day of leisure to explore Stockholm on your own. Alternatively, you may choose to join one of a range of optional excursions which offer opportunities to discover the city’s local flavors, historic districts and array of museums. (B)

On your final day, you will transfer by motor coach to the airport for your return flight. (B)

For four days, tour fascinating Iceland—from the sights of the capital city, Reykjavík, to the hot springs and waterfalls of Thingvellir National Park and the famed Blue Lagoon, a natural geothermal spa.

Day 1 - Reykjavík

Disembark your ship and depart for the airport and your flight to Reykjavík. Upon arrival, you will be met by a Viking Representative before making the short transfer to your hotel. After check-in, you will have a chance to rest and enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure. Your Viking Tour Director is available to help you plan your time in Iceland so you can make the most of your visit.

Day 2 - Iceland

Enter the surreal lava landscape of the Reykjanes Peninsula, where you will come upon the Blue Lagoon, a natural geothermal spa. Enjoy a dip in these warm waters before returning to Reykjavík. You will also have an opportunity to embark on a guided tour of Reykjavík. See its famous landmarks, including the steel and mirrored-glass dome of the Perlan (“The Pearl”), the imposing Hallgrímskirkja church and the Höfði House. (B)

Day 3 - Iceland & the Golden Circle

Embark on a scenic drive to beautiful Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The area is surrounded by mountains and encompasses a vast lava plain of green moss and wildflowers. Continue to the Geysir hot springs area, where hissing springs and other geothermal phenomena will surround you. After lunch, drive to the Gullfoss waterfall, then visit Kerid Crater, one of the more dramatic craters dotting Iceland’s landscape. Return to Reykjavík for an evening at leisure. (B, L)

Day 4 - Reykjavík

After breakfast, check out of your hotel and your Viking Representative will escort you to the airport for your flight home. (B)

Day 2 - Stockholm

After breakfast, descend into the subway to discover the world’s longest art exhibition. As you navigate between stations, admire the colorful artwork that brightens residents’ daily commute, then return to the street and continue to Östermalmshallen for a taste of local favorites. Later, embark on a sightseeing cruise on the Baltic Sea. This evening, you may choose to partake in an optional excursion, savoring a delicious meal at the rooftop restaurant Tak. (B, L)

Day 3 - Stockholm

Set out early for a guided tour of Stockholm’s storied City Hall, looking behind its magnificent facades for a glimpse at its unique interior artworks. This afternoon, you may choose to partake in an optional panoramic bike ride around Djurgården Island. This evening, enjoy a hands-on course on how to make traditional Swedish meatballs from scratch, followed by dinner and drinks. (B, D)

Day 4 - Stockholm

After breakfast, venture by RIB boat to the tiny island of Hamneskär for a guided visit to Pater Noster, Sweden’s most famous lighthouse. Built in 1868, its name is attributed to the sailors who recited the Lord’s Prayer as their ships approached the island’s dangerous reefs. Uncover the history of the lighthouse and the island during a guided visit. After, you will have free time to investigate further and enjoy a lunch that highlights local flavors. Later, return to your hotel. (B, L)

Day 3 – Gothenburg

This morning, visit the island of Marstrand, a pedestrian-only island celebrated for its sailing culture. Embark on a tour of its famed fortress; built during the 17th century, this stone stronghold towers over the village. Explore further on foot, perhaps calling at a local restaurant for lunch, before transferring back to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure or join an optional excursion to go seal-spotting and to try your hand at fishing in the archipelago’s waters. (B)

Day 1 – Kiruna

Disembark your ship and transfer to the airport, where you will board your flight to Kiruna. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by a Viking representative, who will assist you in transferring to your hotel for check-in. Depending on your arrival time, you may choose to relax and enjoy the hotel’s amenities, or venture into the city to explore on your own. A Viking Host will be available throughout your stay to help you make the most of your time in Kiruna.

Day 2 – Kiruna

After breakfast at your hotel, embark on a guided tour of the city. See the neo-Gothic architecture of Kiruna Church and the city hall, nicknamed “The Crystal” in honor of its geometric design. After, discover Sami culture and heritage during a visit to the Márkanbáiki Sámi open air museum, where you will enjoy a traditional lunch and meet reindeer herders. This evening, you may choose to join an optional excursion to visit the LKAB Mine or to dine by the Torne River under the midnight sun. (B, L)

Day 3 – Kiruna

After breakfast, enjoy an Arctic train ride to Riksgrensen. Here, you will board a motor coach headed toward Abisko National Park, one of Sweden’s oldest national parks. You will have a lunch of local fare upon arrival, before setting out for a boat journey on Torneträsk Lake. Back onshore, call at the visitor center to learn more about the park, then hike to Abisko Canyon to take in the views of the steep rocks and surrounding birch forests. This evening, dinner will be at your leisure. (B, L)

Day 4 – Kiruna

This morning, check out of your hotel after breakfast and transfer to the airport for your flight home. (B)
