Day 1 - Paris

Disembark your ship in Lyon and head to the Gare de Lyon-Perrache railway station. Board SNCF’s TGV high-speed train and enjoy a scenic two-hour journey through the French countryside to Paris. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at your leisure. A Viking Host is available to help you plan your time in Paris so you can make the most of your visit.

Day 2 - Paris

Enjoy a guided city tour of Paris and take in the sights of the romantic “City of Light.” Travel along the famed Champs-Élysées, viewing the landmark Eiffel Tower and passing many classic highlights, such as the École Militaire (Military School), Musée D’Orsay and Opéra Garnier. Stop at the Latin Quarter and see the Gothic Notre Dame Cathedral, as well as the modern additions to the city’s architecture. (B)

Day 3 - Paris

You have a full day to further explore the city. Perhaps you will choose to stroll through Montmartre, shop along the Champs-Élysées, ride up to the top of the Eiffel Tower or sample some of the famous French cuisine. You might also like to view the collection of Impressionist and Postimpressionist masterpieces at the Musée d’Orsay or admire the works of famous sculptor Auguste Rodin at his namesake museum. Alternatively, relax outdoors in the bucolic parklands of Luxembourg Gardens. (B)

After breakfast, check out of your hotel and proceed to the airport for your return flight. (B)

Day 1 – Lake Geneva

Disembark your ship and journey through the scenic French countryside. Upon arrival in Geneva, enjoy a panoramic drive past its iconic landmarks and a walk by the shores of its namesake lake. After free time for lunch, board your motor coach and transfer to your hotel. After check-in, the remainder of your day is free to explore and spend at leisure in the city of Montreux. Day 2 – Lake Geneva

Today, head to Lake Geneva and board a boat for a leisurely cruise. Admire the stunning scenery of your surroundings, with its mountain backdrop and steep terraced vineyards. Visit Chillon Castle, one of Europe’s most striking medieval castles, located on a rocky islet. View the 15th-century wall paintings, explore the underground vaults and hear about its long-standing winemaking tradition that began during the 13th century. Afterward, return to your hotel. (B) Please note: between late October and late April, Lake Geneva boat cruise will be substituted by a walking tour of Montreux.

Day 3 – Jungfrau Region

Check out of your hotel and head to the railway station to board your train. Your journey along the GoldenPass begins with a scenic ride by railcar to Gstaad. Board a cable car to the snowcapped Glacier 3000 winter park, where you may take in the views from one of its restaurants or go on a daring walk across the suspension bridge. Afterward, enjoy the alpine atmosphere of Gstaad, where you will board your train for Interlaken, and transfer to your hotel for an evening at your leisure. (B, L)

Day 4 - Jungfrau Region

Today, you will embark a cogwheel train to Kleine Scheidegg, in the heart of the Jungfrau Region. Upon arrival, disembark the train and spend time admiring the views over the three mountain peaks of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, and savor lunch at the restaurant. Continue your scenic journey to Grindelwald, renowned for its picturesque alpine setting. Afterward, transfer to your hotel for an evening at your leisure. (B, L)

Day 5 – Lucerne & Zürich

After breakfast, check out of your hotel and journey to Lucerne. Upon arrival, set out on a walking tour to explore one of Switzerland’s most picturesque cities, nestled on the shores of Lake Lucerne with a stunning alpine backdrop. After free time to enjoy lunch on your own, board your train to Zürich. Check into your hotel and enjoy an evening at your leisure. (B)

Day 2 - Dijon, France

Get oriented with a tour of some of Dijon’s Gothic and Renaissance treasures. See the Church of Notre Dame, Place de la Libération and Dijon Cathedral. Visit the beautifully preserved Ducal Palace, the former royal residence of the Dukes of Burgundy who once ruled lands stretching from the Mediterranean to The Netherlands. Today, it houses the city’s Town Hall as well as the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Dijon. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure until dinner. (B, D)

Day 3 - Burgundy, France

Head into the wine-growing countryside of Burgundy on a full-day tour. Admire the Côte de Nuits’s limestone vistas with the distinct terroir that produces the region’s fine pinot noir grapes before continuing to the Côte de Beaune, the wine capital of Burgundy. Along the way, stop at one of Beaune’s famous cellars to taste some fine vintages. Later, explore one of the region’s most splendid architectural treasures, the Hospices de Beaune Museum, before returning to your hotel. (B, L)
